Volunteering with us
Volunteers are the backbone of everything we do at Community Transport Calderdale.
We have a number of volunteering opportunities within our team -
Driver+ scheme - WomenCentre
Working in partnership with the WomenCentre we aim to start a service that supports domestic abuse victims when attending court in various locations. For a full role description please click here
Community Car Service Drivers - Calderdale
Our Community Car Service Drivers use their own cars to transport people to health and social appointments in the area. A mileage charge is payable to cover wear & tear plus fuel usage.
We initially meet with potential volunteers for an informal chat to go through opportunities and whats involved. You can ask any questions you wish and then go away to think about things if you're not sure about anything. Any assistance is appreciated whether it be an hour, a day or a number of days in the week - it all makes a difference.
If however, you have specific skills that you feel would benefit our organisation please get in touch as we are always open to suggestions of how we can improve our service and structure at CTC.
We also link up with local work schemes in the area to provide valuable experience for those wishing to gain employment.
All volunteers will need to undergo a DBS check which is free of charge.
If you would like to have a chat about volunteering with us please contact Chris Hancox, our Marketing and Volunteer Recruitment Manager on 01422 888080 or complete the online form below -
